April is Alcohol Awareness Month

Every time you drink alcohol, you begin to build tolerance. The higher your tolerance the more difficult it is for your body to gauge what is normal. Decisions about your use of alcohol may need to be made whether it's to be healthier, improve relationships, financial issues, or due to legal pressures. March is National Nutrition Month

One of the most common nutrition challenges is eating away from home. People are looking for fast, easy, and good-tasting food to fit a busy lifestyle. See the attached "Healthy Eating on the Run: A Month of Tips" by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics to prioritize making smart choices for healthy eating even when you're extremely busy. Heart disease is a leading cause of death in the United States for both men and women. You can do a lot to protect your heart and stay healthy. December is Safe Toy and Gift Month

It's the holiday season which typically means toy-sharing and gift-giving. If you are not careful, a gift or toy could cause serious injuries to a loved one. In 2020, nearly 150,000 children were treated for toy-related injuries in hospital emergency rooms. Please see the attached article for some suggestions to ensure safety. Caring for Caregivers

August is National Summer Sun Safety Month

Skin is your body’s largest organ. Each year, about 3.5 million cases of skin cancer are diagnosed in the United States. These occur where skin is exposed to the sun, such as the face, ears, neck, lips, and back of the hands.
