The mission of the Violent Crimes Bureau is to ensure the safety and welfare of the general public by conducting fair and unbiased criminal investigations which pursue criminal offenders who are fugitives from justice and who commit crimes of homicide, kidnapping, child exploitation, sexual assault, auto theft and document fraud.
The Bureau also diligently investigates and attempts to locate missing persons. The Bureau pursues criminal offenders and attempts to solve crimes by providing the services of the Polygraph Unit and analytical support to law enforcement agencies.
